Hilo Hostel is an amazing place for travelers. For sure we will stay here again in the future. We really enjoyed the staff, they are wonderful people. The place is really clean and has a home feeling to it. I recommend this place and I cannot wait to be back again!

the owners were so nice and friendly.. they even helped arranged our luggage delivery service back to Tokyo because we were going to continue sightseeing after checkout. the staff were so sweet and friendly. Alot of love from us back in Brunei!

This property was stunningly beautiful, a wonderful old Japanese tea house. We were absolutely delighted. Not for those looking for a luxurious modern hotel, but absolutely perfect for us. Very close to everywhere we wanted to go, right next to Nara park, but not far from the station. Takashi, our host, was charming and spoke perfect English. He recommended where to go and returned to the house to show us how to turn the heating on when it got cold. We had a wonderful stay and we already miss it!

A very nice place at the middle distance between the train station and Nara park. Quiet area, plenty of restaurants or markets nearby. Very clean, comfortable room. The kitchen has basic amenities.
