First of all upon arrival to the hostel it was very very appealing from the road, I felt like I was arriving to a fancy condo in the states 🤣 Chavvy & Shailie were amazing, they made me feel so welcome that I really left feeling like I have family, from good laughs to even dropping me off at the bus stop because I was a little nervous - tremendous. I put my hammock up in the garden which the caretakers helped with & was astonishing to simply be in the amazing garden with such diverse wildlife (there was even a local peacock!) I only booked this hostel because I'm a travelling yoga teacher and needed somewhere calm to practice & teach - Alma hostel allowed me to do just that, with excellent ifi and many spaces to teach from whether the garden, the upstairs lobby/co-working space or even my room was big enough. My all time favourite thing about Alma's was the interior design - like wow. Everything was custom made with wicker/bamboo and the interior was exceptionally clean - I genuinely felt like I was crashing at my own place. Loved it so much.

The owners were very helpful, polite and kind to us. They gave us the most useful advice for our trips. They woke up very early to prepare our breakfasts, we really appreciated it.The lhouse is really beautiful and clean, with many spaces to relax. The rooms are comfortable with big and clean bathrooms.The general atmosphere is cozy and special, you feel like in your own home.

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is a very comfortable place. I am happy that I can spend my time very freely. The staff here is also very friendly. This is the only place where you can get very comfortable, low budget and affordable accommodation around Colombo. I highly recommend this place. I loved it! The owners are so welcoming and nice, they have very good common areas to chill and meet other travelers, as well as a pool. There is AC on the rooms so it was nice to sleep without suffering from the hot humid weather

The staff of the hostel was super friendly and helpful, extremely nice people. I was in a dorm but I had the room for myself. It has AC and it is super clean. The rooms are big, comfy and renovated. Breakfast was also included, it's a super good deal for the price!
