We had an incredible stay at Kottamba Villa in Tangalle! From start to finish, our host Lushan went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. The host and location were fantastic, situated right by the entrance to Medaketiya Beach with safe swimming area and close to the stunning Mangrove Beach and national parks. The service was unexpectedly excellent, and the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options for the price. Best lassi in this area.

It's a very nice and cosy hostel, 6 minutes from hirikiteya beach. The location is really good, because it is not in the busy area but at the same time it is not far from the centre/busy area. Right next to the hostel, you have a great place to have breakfast/lunch or dinner for a fair price (cheap, I would say). About the accommodation, the place is really clean and with a nice kitchen!

I really loved this hostel - the room is nice and a/c works very well, which i feel is necessary in this heat. Staff is very helpful and accommodating and really go out of their way to help. Location is good, not far from the bus stop and a bit outside of the center so it’s quiet, but not too far from the center either. Lockers are big so you can easily fit your things in there.

Pravin (the staff) was super kind and helpful. The dorm room has good value for money. The breakfast was superb. They have a cloth washing service what is cheap.

Everything was perfect! We had our best sleep on the whole trip. Super comfortable and even had a duvet. The AC worked very well. Just a short walk from the beach. And the hosts were super nice! They helped me arrange a birthday surprise for my friend in the room. Would absolutely go back!

Me and my friend spent 4 nights at the hostel and really liked it! The atmosphere is very chill and you feel right at home. It’s also very close to the beach, and in an area with other hostels and local restaurants. The staff were really nice and helpful! Shashii was so welcoming, and Hamu went out of his way to help me when my phone broke and I needed to replace my screen! Really recommend this place if you’re staying in Hiriketiya!
