Asal and Yousef were wonderful hosts. I had some difficulties while there and they went out of their way to help. They are kind and genuine people with a deep interest in others and rich integrity. Yousef was on call to drive to the various parts of town. The room was spacious and modern and well maintained. I recommend their stay to anyone.

I started my 4 week trip trough Oman in Basil Hostel. At first I planned to be in Muscat for a few days at the beginning and end of my trip. But since I fell in love with that place I returned every three to four days to Basil‘s Hostel and have been there a total of five times. It was a great place to meet other travellers and locals. I always felt welcomed and at home there. If I ever return to the great country of Oman, which I‘m pretty sure about, I will for sure be staying at Basil Hostel again and looking forward to reunite with all the good friends I made there.
