Centrally located and just a 2-minute walk from the bus and train stations, Bath Backpackers is a community based hostel which offers budget accommodation with a homely feel. Free WiFi is accessible throughout. Extremely convenient-but-tucked-away location. Easy to pop out to markets and events but also to go to the train station. Books lining the shelves, comfortable, cozy lounge for guests. I didn't end up ever actually sleeping there due to unfortunate mental health crises and urgent medical issues, but the staff was DEEPLY patient and understanding working with my unusual circumstances. I was surprised at how well-run, typical hostel experience, even female hygiene products gifted in the bathrooms for travelers in need. A great place to crash while enjoying beautiful Bath and not wasting all your exchanged currency on accommodation but instead on taking in the Jane Austen territory and vital literary and musical culture the town has to offer!

If you are driving through the city to the hostel, please check if your vehicle will be charged in Bath's clean air zone and if you need to pay online via the Bath & North East Somerset Council website. The hostel is outside Bath's clean air zone so charges will not apply unless driving through the city. So nice and great value, I would stay again. Location is good although outside the very centre of Bath.

The property is non-smoking and is located 400 metres from The Circus Bath. Great location. Close to the Roman baths and central to everything.
