Located around 1 km from Edinburgh Castle, the hostel with free WiFi is also 700 metres away from Edinburgh Waverley station. The property is 100 metres from the city centre and 400 metres from National Museum of Scotland. The house is locate at the end of the street. I went here by myself,and it's my first time to stay in a guest house.As a foreigner,I'm not good at English.However,the host was so enthusiastic and kind,he made his best to make me understood.You can see beautiful views through the window,and the room is nice and lovely

Situated in central Edinburgh, the High Street Hostel - Over 18s Only, Backpackers Atmosphere offers free WiFi in all areas. Dating back to 1564, this historic property is on a small side street, just off the Royal Mile.

The hostel offers single beds in shared dormitory rooms. Each bed has a bedside safe and a locker. The rooms have access to shared bathroom facilities. The staff is super friendly and fun to hang out with. The hostel organizes activities every night that are a lot of fun to participate in, so I would definitely recommend joining those! The location is perfect, right next to the Royal Mile, but as it is in a side-street of the Royal Mile it's not too busy. I also love that every room has a theme and that the beds have names that fit this theme.

Mixed and female dormitories have bunk beds and lockers, and guests can make use of laundry services, hairdryers and adaptors. Luggage storage is available at the property. Bicycle storage is available at the High Street Hostel just across the road. It's the best thing I did.. people at reception are very helpful. Also the other residents were very friendly and helpful. Good facilities at kitchen.. space to sit and read eat.. worth the money

Staff were all most helpful Soooo close to the castle!
