There is also a locker for your luggage. San Juan is very small and the location was perfect, right on the main street.

The owners Daniel and Eric are friendly and the place truly felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had on my whole trip (if not the best) of either a traditional breakfast or fruit and granola. I slept in both the 10 bed dorm and a private and both were super comfortable (loves how the 10 bed had single beds, it was extra cosy!). The place is immaculately clean, attracts the best guests and you are in the perfect position to explore San Marcos at your leisure. I was meant to stay 3 nights and extended for about 8!

All units at the hostel are equipped with a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Interesting room. Owners are clearly art or design buffs, so the room has all kind of art pieces about New York and San Francisco, which is kind of groovy. The most unusual design I have ever seen for a bathroom tap. Incredible towel origami. It is a self-check-in place so you follow the instructions provided by messaging for entry code and key in a box etc. Unfortunately the key was not in the box when I got there at night. The owner, however was very swift and timely in providing a solution in an upgrade for an apparently better room for no added cost. A very nice old man is a janitor or other and was doing his best to be helpful in different situations. In terms of value for money, it is one of three cost effective accommodation options I found in the area.
