Located in Killarney and with St Mary's Cathedral reachable within 200 metres, The Black Sheep Hostel provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The accommodation features a tour desk and luggage storage space for guests. Very homely. Great facilities. Comfy beds and I like the way they are made - feels like you’re in a cubby. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

Situated in Killeenleagh Bridge, within 49 km of St Mary's Cathedral and 24 km of O'Connell Memorial Church, Brú na Dromoda/Dromid Hostel features accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Built in 2001, the property is within 30 km of Skellig Experience Centre. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, and luggage storage for guests. Extremely quiet and comfortable. That is, if there are few people in the hostel. If people are talking downstairs or on the staircase, it gets a bit loud, but that doesn't last usually. I had the best sleep in Dromid hostel on St Patrick's Day. The idea was to escape the loudness of the city and it worked absolutely gorgeous. I had a private room (one of four from what I gather) which was right above the kitchen overlooking the river. The kitchen was very handy, very spacious with lots of appliances, dishes and nice wooden tables to eat. There's a pub and a store nearby where you can eat and get groceries, but I didn't, so can't tell anything about them. There are mountains and lakes around. I found a trail on an app that leads to Waterville. It took me about 40min walking to get to the beginning of the trail itself. There must be just regular paths people use that are closer and lead to lakes nearby but I didn't explore them.

Sive Budget Accommodation has a range of private rooms, all with private bathroom facilities.

Cahersiveen offers a range of attractions from water-sports to horse riding and an extensive selection of shops. The hostel has a pretty landscaped garden and balcony, with seating areas and stunning views of the area, and also offers free transport to the boats over to Skellig. Free transport arranged to Skelligs departure, if you book a tour with Casey Tours. The staffs were the most kind and easy going people ever and it really made our stay a whole lot more pleasant. I want to thank them here as we didn’t get to say goodbye upon our departure. Nice town, great breakfast and very comfortable room with a good view.
