This is a beautiful traditional Japanese guest house on the island of Yuge. We spent a night here while biking the Shimanami Kaido trail. Yas, our host, was super kind and helpful. Fully equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea. Nice shower. Towels can be rented for 100 yen and laundry machine use for 100 yen as well. Very comfortable tatami beds. Close to a very good izakaya restaurant for dinner as well!

The property is non-smoking and is set 32 km from Saikon-ji Temple. I had an accident prior to my stay, the staff is very nice to provide me the first aid kit and information on where to seek medical care. Even though the room is private, I still can hear others talking so it is good to get the ear plugs (it is provided in the hostel). The room is clean and well-maintained. Hopefully can come back again in the future.

When I return to Hiroshima, this will be the first hostel I will check for availability. If you are a solo traveler and want to make friends, the small bar definitely helps foster conversation. The female dorm only has 3 beds, but they are comfortable and clean.

Tottori Airport is 21 km away. The place is a beautiful kept traditional Japanese wooden house. I loved the house and the location but the best part of the experience were the host family. I felt like I was visiting my family, I got to experience very traditional meals and great company. I hope to visit again!

The nearest airport is Iwakuni Kintaikyo Airport, 44 km from WeBase Hiroshima. Everything. This place was perfect for our stay in Hiroshima. We were close enough to everything and it was so easy to get around via the streetcars and buses if we wanted to go a little further out. The hotel itself is fantastic. The rooms are cosy but well laid out so everything fits and can be accessed easily. The amenities are super useful and clean and the staff were amazing. All-in-all, a perfect stay.

Hostel Mallika features free WiFi throughout the property. Staff was very accomodating of all my needs. Early check-in, luggage storage after check-out etc. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.
