A couple of very friendly locals pop in for a beer and a smoke and although they speak no English and I speak no Japanese we struck up some conversation. The dorm beds are comfortable and although fully booked it was very quiet at night. I slept very well. I loved everything about Roku.

We had a room with beautiful, big window and stunning view of the river. The room was spacious, which is not common in Japan. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Kitchen was a bit small and can could get crowded, but it is not a big deal. We did not have much „in person” contact with the personel, they might seem a bit invisible and absent from the facility, but that is just an impression. Trust us- we had an emergency situation and they helped us to solve it despite the fact it was quite late and it was not their responsibility and fault at all.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the whole accommodation was very clean. The capsules were big and quite comfy. Also the hostel provided small and big lockers for free, and the kitchen was well equipped. As a bonus it had nice smoking areas on the balkonies.
