I did not realised when I booked (not sure if the information is there … somewhere, that this is a dormitory style backpackers hostel. The kitchen was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent
Everything, I have lived in hostels of several other countries but this was the best hostel. It’s cheap, near to attractions, bus stops nearby, trains to airport and Ginza line were about 10-minute walk. Even after checking out you could leave your luggage for few hours and use the first floor facilities.
Everything! It's the best hostel I have ever stayed in Tokyo so far. - I was a little afraid at first because the room I got is a mixed dormitory (snoring, etc.). But turns out it was really quite and everybody was so considerate. Shower and toilets are clean. The staff cleaned it quite frequently. - I like the fact that you can also store luggage under your bed!
It is as described in the pictures, but a bit shabbier, less 'shiney'. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and the experience of it. It was certainly cheaper than hotels and I booked late so had few hotel options. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, although I should mention that I have a bad back anyway. The dormitory was safe, secure, all fellow guests I met were nice. The staff were all very nice. Very good bathroom facilities. All facilities well looked after, clean, working, and accessible. I would use it again.
Cheap clean comfortable Great stuff efficient great location safe and good facilities
Unplan was one of the best hostels in Tokyo, it is close to everything in shinjuku such as the main train station, national park and nightlife. Complentary breakfast was simple but good and the bar downstairs/common rooms were a great way to meet new people before hanging out together at golden gai or other places. The rooftop was the best spot because in winter there is rarely other people around so its chill.
Very good for a hostel, we liked the curtained bunk beds. The staff were extremely helpful and lovely too. It felt very safe and comfortable
This was my best hostel experience. Everything was very clean and well thought through. It is one of the cheapest options I found for Tokio and it is a cool experience to sleep in a capsule. I would definitely come again.
Room was large with a lot of beds, but the curtains and distance between bunk beds gave plenty of privacy. Laundry and lunch was cheap. Very helpful. The shower room was shared between the whole floor, but was still cleaner and more private than many other hostels.
Friendly staff, welcoming inclusive atmospheres, Great location (5 min away from Sensoji temple, a bit far from the station, about 10min. But the scenery of the area is so unique and I enjoyed walking. I felt safe to walk back to the hostel from the station midnight by myself, and the local people there are really kind). I stayed in a dormitory room, everyone was kind and thoughtful ( quiet at night). Stayed there for 4 nights and I had a good time there! I also liked the electric piano at the entrance.
