In addition to hikes in the Wildkogel high-altitude hiking area, there are also varied educational and themed trails and hiking routes in the Untersulzbachtal and Obersulzbachtal, in the Habachtal, Trattenbachtal and Dürnbachtal as well as in the Mühlbachtal. Winter: Skiing in Kitzbühel is a dream! With perfectly groomed pistes, a state-of-the-art lift system and 233 kilometers of downhill runs, no skier's heart remains untouched. In addition to the world-famous Streif Hahnenkamm descent, a total of 57 lifts offer fun on the slopes for beginners and professionals alike. 60 huts and mountain restaurants, each unique, entice you with culinary delights in front of a very special mountain panorama. The Wildkogel Arena, the family-friendly ski area in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region, offers a fantastic snow sports experience for beginners and advanced skiers with its 75 km of perfectly groomed and snow-sure ski slopes. With the Wildkogelbahn in Neukirchen and the Smaragdbahn in Bramberg you can easily reach 2,100 m above sea level, where you can expect a wonderful view of the many 3000m peaks of the Hohe Tauern.
