Property information

Our home has a large living area which gets plenty of light and looks out over our lovely garden. The bedrooms are generous, each with a desk. The master has a private balcony and ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and spa bath. The third bedroom can be set up with 2 singles or with a King size bed. We are close to trams (15 mins to town), and plenty of shops, restaurants and parks, including famous Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. There is also easy access to nearby cycle paths.

Neighbourhood information

Our house is on a lovely, tree lined street. North Fitzroy is a very convenient location being very close to the city and also having a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We are only 2 minutes’ walk from North Fitzroy Village on St Georges Rd. There is a great supermarket “Piedimonte’s” (which has a bottle shop and an excellent deli), as well as a chemist, “Wild Things” a natural food store, a post office, and a range of cafes and restaurants, even a gym and a library. There are plenty of pubs within easy walking distance. Brunswick Street restaurants are also only a short walk away with Smith Street, Rathdowne St and Lygon Street on our doorstep. We’ll leave you a list of some of our favourite cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is something for everyone here. We are also only 2 minutes’ walk from lovely Edinburgh Gardens and trams taking you into the city. This is a safe area and we often walk around even late at night. If you enjoy cycling or walking the Capital City Trail passes at the end of our street. You can follow it to the Zoo, to Abbotsford Children’s Farm or Convent, or do the full circle of about 30km which goes through Docklands and the city and follows along the Yarra River for part of the way. You can easily hire a bike locally. This is a great location for your stay in Melbourne. Getting Around the Neighborhood Just four kilometers from the city, our location offers excellent transport options. You can cycle on great bike paths or take one of two nearby trams. The 11 tram takes you past Brunswick Street's restaurants and through the city to Docklands. The 96 tram goes past the Exhibition Buildings and Carlton Gardens, through the city center, and all the way to St Kilda. We're a 25-minute drive from the airport, or you can use the SkyBus and then catch the 96 tram.
