We are a chestnut farm with a farm stay ideal for families or a secluded getaway for couples. The farm stay is set on 70 acres where children can join the farmer to feed the animals. Chestnut Cottage comprises two queen rooms (one upstairs) and a bunk room with two sets of bunks. The cottage was the original homestead for the chestnut farm, built at the time of group settlement in the 1920’s and added to over the years. A wood fire keeps the house nice and cosy in winter. The upstairs balcony gives a lovely panoramic view of the stunning farm. Ideal for up to four adults and four children at a time, you'll be guaranteed a great experience and a relaxing stay. Your hosts offer homestead style accommodation with verandahs and a deck offering unrestricted views out onto the beautiful farm. The cottage was the farm house until recently and is fully self contained with everything you'll need to make your stay an enjoyable one. Chestnut Brae is a working sweet chestnut farm. The owners John and Linda Stanley produce added value sweet chestnut products including chestnut fed pork and chestnut fed lamb and marron and run chestnut experience tours, and marron experiences, all in season. The owners are passionate foodies and gardeners, and their garden is part of the Organic Garden Trail, The Festival of Country Gardens, and The Nannup Flower and Garden Festival O[pen Gardens. The farm is on the Blackwood River Valley Food Trail. The owners are also consultants and authors and work in 35 countries with their consultancy work. Beauty Services are available and must be pre-booked through a local beauty therapist who will come to the farm stay.

Nannup is a great location for exploring the entire south west region as it is in the heart of the south west cape and can reach the coast as well as the inland in around 45 minutes. So the Chestnut Brae Farm Stay is a prefect location for exploring the beauties of the Shire of Nannp as well as for exploring Donnelly River, Margaret River, Bridgetown, Balingup, Busselton and Pemberton - all within a comfortable one hour drive of the farm. Only Telstra has coverage in most out of town country areas including our farm. We have excellent Telstra coverage as we are in line of sight of the Telstra tower.
