Quilters Studio Bed and Breakfast property is in the town of Gawler. The studio provides self-contained private accommodation. It has a generously large main room with adjoining kitchenette and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. It is also used for quilt making when it is not used by guests. Quilts feature in the decor. The studio opens out onto a wide terrace beneath a pergola supporting a canopy of glory vines. The vines are truly beautiful: shades of reds and orange leaves in autumn and green from spring though summer. Lovely to sit under and chat over a glass of wine, or to have an outdoor meal, perhaps a barbeque you have cooked yourself. Parking for 2 cars is free and on the property just by the private entry door.
We have traveled extensively in Australia and overseas and have a feel for what we like in accommodation. Especially we like a light touch and hope this approach also pleases you. We have special interests in quilts and quilt making, and have a circle of friends with similar interests. Another interest is the local history of Gawler and district - Gawler is South Australia's first country town and was established in 1839. Yet another interest is the technical side of diamond and gold exploration in Australia and overseas and associated travel opportunities.
This is a quiet residential location. A few minutes' drive to Gawler's restaurants, historic hotels, churches, picture theatre, swimming pool and horse racetrack. Close to bicycle paths leading to the Barossa Valley and to Adelaide. Close to the famous Barossa Valley and Clare Valley wine producing districts. Great wine tasting and dining experiences to be had at both. Take the children to the Whispering Wall. Try hot air ballooning.
