The breakfast was adequate. I did make an unconditional request and advised that my wife was Celiac, and the Cottages supplied gluten free cereal and a few snacks to go. Great Customer Service! and don't let me forget the bottle of wine.

Surround yourself with pristine Australian bush and the tranquil Severn River. Wake up to the sound of birdsong and enjoy watching the wildlife from your private patio. For those chilly winter nights, soak up the warmth by the outdoor firepit and reminisce on the day’s adventures. Or look up and take in crystal clear night skies under the twinkling stars. Don’t fancy bracing the night? Sit by our cosy indoor fireplace instead! We have three private sandstone cottages nestled throughout the property. With all the comforts of home and picturesque outlooks the cottages feature a kitchen, living and dining area, separate bedrooms, spacious bathroom and attached undercover parking. A breakfast snack basket is available, with local Sutton’s apple juice, cereals, and a selection of coffee pods. We love the local Granite Belt produce and we’re pleased to welcome all guests with a complimentary bottle of local wine. Severn River Cottages is the ideal Stanthorpe accommodation for a romantic getaway or a peaceful timeout with friends or family.
G’day, we’re Richard and Gail, your hosts at Severn River Cottages. We settled in Stanthorpe in 2021, but we have fond memories for the area as we had our honeymoon here! We both feel most at home amongst the native wildlife that surround our beautiful cottages. We’re lucky that we can enjoy bushwalking, kayaking, swimming, wineries, and photography right on our doorstep. We love to explore the Granite Belt, so can heartedly recommend you things to do in the area. We look forward to hosting you soon!
Severn River Cottages is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Granite Belt in southern Queensland. We’re within easy reach of regional highlights, including vineyards, produce farms, and unique national parks. We’re lucky to have so many award-winning wineries right on our doorstep – the Strange Bird winery trail is a great way to sample some unusual and alternative wines. If wine is not your thing, the Granite Belt has some great breweries too! Severn River Cottages is in the middle of local towns Ballandean, Stanthorpe, Applethorpe and The Summit, and we’re just a short drive from Girraween, Boonoo Boonoo, and Sundown National Parks. Bursting fresh summer fruits and local festivals, glorious autumn blaze, frosty winter chill and fireside glow, spectacular spring flower delight – whatever the season, the Granite Belt has lots to offer!
