Pinnaroo, built in the 1920s, is one of the last original houses on Wylie Crescent. Bought in 1960, it has been in our family for three generations. In 2021 it underwent a loving renovation which aimed to modernise the old cottage while retaining its charm and history. After many decades as a family holiday house we are now offering Pinnaroo as short or medium term accommodation. We hope that our guests will enjoy the stunning views and general ambience of this beautiful, sheltered space as much as we do. Just five minutes from the City Centre, and superbly located within walking distance of the iconic Binnalup/Middleton Beach and niche cafes, bars and shops, Pinnaroo is the perfect place to relax. Sit on the north-facing front veranda in the winter sun while you watch the whales frolic in the Bay, or enjoy the cooling evening breezes after a summer’s day at the beach. Pinnaroo awaits you!
I have travelled a lot in my life, and really love exploring new places. So often the quality of the travelling experience depends on the accommodation, and so I set up Pinnaroo as somewhere I would be happy to stay. The small, personal touches make all the difference, so Pinnaroo is a comfortable and fully-equipped house. It has everything you need - including around 100 books for you to browse through! By the way, the property has been listed in AirB&B for two years; I am a Super Host, and have only ever had 5* ratings!!
Albany has lots to offer. The great advantage of King George Sound is that no matter where the wind is coming from you can always find a sheltered beach! In a southerly go south - easterly east, etc. There are beaches facing each direction, so you will find somewhere protected, out of the wind. You can also explore the wineries around Denmark and the Poronorups, where there are several beautiful walks. The National ANZAC Centre is a must visit. There is a lot of information, brochures and suggestions for guests about Albany and its surrounds in the House Book; when in town the best place to start is the Albany Visitor Centre.
