This charming and elegant Penthouse apartment is very modern and is fully equipped with everything that you may need to enjoy a sophisticated holiday in the Jungfrau region. It is located close to all transport links to the mountains and the lakes, it is situated above a busy supermarket and has stunning panoramic views from every window.
I fell in love with this area after working here in the Tourism trade for the summer season of 2006. One season wasn't enough to explore the region so I decided to stay, I now have 2 beautiful children and we enjoy hiking in the summer and ski-ing in the winter.
Matten is nestled between Interlaken and the mountains and is close to both the lakes of Brienz and Thun. It is a great base for summer exploring, hiking, adventure activities and simply enjoying the Swiss culture. In the winter this apartment is also perfect for those that want to drive or catch the local buses to explore the many local ski regions. Matten itself has many restaurants and bars and a very nice vibe in the evenings. There are also 2 nightclubs situated at the backpacking hostels. This area really has something for everyone, great views of the mountains, and is surrounded by beautiful nature
