It is well suited for a small family or a couple. The good facilities include the covered terrace to enjoy the long summer evenings. Not far away is the 164-hectare Slivsø, a home to 180 species of birds, including the kingfisher and sea eagle. There is a good fish stock in the lake and it is home to pike, perch and zander. Diernæs Strand is really family-friendly area on the Little Belt and the beaches have calm bathing water. In Haderslev you will find an old town center dominated by the cathedral. Also take a walk through the park in the center. In Aabenraa, in another cozy town of South Jutland, you can have a good stroll in the cobbled shopping street, studying the front doors typical of the town. If you continue south, you will reach Gråsten, the summer castle of the royal family. Continue on to Sønderborg, beautifully situated on the southwesternmost tip of Jutland and on the Flensburg Fjord, with its cafes and restaurant spreading a particularly cozy ambience. In the city you can also visit the castle and the history center Dybbøl Banke. From there it is also not far to Danfoss Universe, it is located on Als and lets you experience the achievements of natural science up close and in your own body.
