A fully furnished home . Away from the path beaten by 1000's of tourists. Located in the country 10 min (5 KM) from the town of Samana the retreat affords access to all Samana has to offer without the noise/danger of the city. The beaches of El Valle are ~10KM away and other beaches can be found on the road to Las Galeras. There is currently no hot water on site
Laundry service can be arranged for guests that plan to stay several days.
The neighbors are all very friendly, helpful, and family of the homeowner. If you have time ask a muchacho to take you to the river. Its a great swimming spot at the end of a spectacular 4 km hike. There are several local colmados with typical colmado wares, such as beer, water, soda, eggs, flour, ... There is regular transportation from the town of Samana to Las Parmillas via guagua and motorcycle. Guaguas can be picked-up at the Market in Samana and cost ~100 pesos. Ask for the guagua for Monte Rojo or Las Parmillas. A motorcycle (motoconcho) costs approximately ~125 pesos. Be sure to take a driver that is familiar with the area.
