Casa Altavista is the oldest inhabited property in the south of Tenerife, built in the traditional style and lovingly renovated with local craftsmen over a number of years. Just a 15-minute drive to the beaches and tourist attractions of the south coast yet set apart in a calm oasis. This house is not for you if you want lots of bars and clubs on the doorstep! For those that enjoy a rural location, it has many hikes and outdoor pursuits on the doorstep (and for cyclists in particular - it's located on the iconic Teide climb). The pretty town of Vilaflor with excellent restaurants is just minutes away, doorway to dramatic Teide National Park. With a large wood fired oven BBQ in the pool area, it's ideal for long evenings in the garden, playing some boules or outdoor pool together. There is also a table tennis table in the courtyard and a small library if you prefer to lounge with a good book instead.

I fell in love with Casa Altavista at first sight many years ago, and have spent the last decade gradually renovating it. The area is a calm oasis yet near (15 minute drive) to all the big attractions of the south coast like Siam Park, Los Cristianos/Playa de las Americas, Jungle Park and all the golf courses and tennis clubs. The property is located on the iconic Teide climb for cyclists, and the edge of the National Park is just a 10-minute drive away. We can arrange for bike hire at additional cost. The quaint local town of Arona has everything you need from a chemist, medical centre, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and the best bakery on the south coast - Aroma Café. Head there for your daily bread and sumptuous cakes. If you like hiking there are lots of routes including up Roque Imoque and Roque del Conde, a tabletop mountain with a large plateau at its summit and amazing views.
