Basecamp Oulanka is a lovely complex of wooden buildings providing comfortable and cosy accommodation in a stunning location overlooking the Juuma lake and backing onto Oulanka National Park, situated in a remote, wonderful, unspoiled wilderness. Our inbound tour operator, outdoor activities, wilderness hotel, destination management company and membership of The Long Run network are all focused on being nature-friendly and sustainable. Trip Advisor has been awarded us with greenleaders GOLD certificate.
We are all nature lovers! We love to spend time outdoors. Our passions are hiking, rafting, berry picking, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing and climbing - nature has lot to offer! We explore the wilderness in all seasons, every time you learn something new!
Our neighbourhood is called Oulanka National Park. Old Siberian taiga forests, crystal clear waters of river Kitkajoki, roaring rapids, beautiful waterfalls and endless wilderness is known as our backyard. Sometimes a Siberian jay, black grouse, snow weasel or a reindeer is passing by our yard. Our neighborhood offers experiences whole year round!
