Chalet Crechoua is in an amazing location, with splendid views over the Aravis mountains. The link from Le Plan to the ski areas of Combloux and Megève means skiers have lots of choice - more than 100km of pistes in the Portes du Mont Blanc area, and stil more in the larger Evasion Mont Blanc area, which covers covering Megève, St-Gervais, Saint- Nicolas de Veroce and Les Contam. If you're still looking for more, you're just a short drive from the La Clusaz ski area, which has more than 200km of pistes. There's just as much to do in the summer - choose from walking, climbing, mountain-biking, summer luge, picnics, or just enjoy the 360-degree views from the top of some of the ski lifts. The Col des Aravis, a familiar scene in the Tour de France, is also nearby. The medieval town of Annecy is just 45km away - close enough for a day trip.
