La Maison du Canal offers several rooms, the deluxe room called L'ère du Temps is situated in front of the Canal du Midi in Homps with amazing views over the Canal to the " Montagne Noir". 2nd floor bright airconditioned large family room with private facilities, set in a stone built village house. Walking distance to the Lake 'Lac du Jouarres' where you can swim, there is a bar restaurant by the lake and water sport activities. Homps 7 other great restaurants in Homps, all in walking distance from La Maison du Canal. The family room is not suitable for those who have reduced mobility due to having 2 flights of stairs. We also have a mezzanine with 2 extra single beds, accessable by a narrow spiral staircase, so mainly suitable for children above 6 years old or agile people, we can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 children above the age of 6. Complimentary basic breakfast supplies like coffee, tea, sugar milk, cereal and Orange juice are supplied. For you convenience there is a little grocery shop next door that provides fresh bread and croissants from 8 am daily except Saturday. A larger supermarket is on 300 metres away also supplying fresh bread and croissants from 7am and stays open till 8pm except Sunday 7 till 1.30pm in the summertime. The full supermarket is situated 200m from the house at the service station and superb restaurants all in minutes walking distances from the studio. There are 7 restaurants in Homps within close walking distance. The lake ( Lac du Jouarres) is 800metres away where you can swim or have a drink in the lakeside bar restaurant. Boat tours on the quai by the Capitanerie which also has a wonderful selection of local wines etc and all the tourist information about the local area.
