The 19th century renovated farmhouse 'Laudinie' is beautiful situated on a hill at the end of a dirt road off a quiet country lane. The house is free-standing, amidst 11 hectares of private land. Those seeking peace will find it here. 'Laudinie' is fully protected from prying eyes - perfect for a private, rejuvenating vacation! The generous sunbathing area surrounding the very large pool (20x45ft, up to 12ft deep) invites you to enjoy undisturbed sunbathing or relax in the shade of large trees. The covered BBQ and lounge space allows for grilling even in (rare) uncertain weather conditions. Enjoy enchanting sunsets from the wide-view terrasse which can be accessed through the romantic courtyard or the living room. Three bedrooms and a fully equipped modern kitchen and bathroom provide all the comfort necessary to never leave the house if you so desire! The setting is idyllic and isolated yet centrally located in a UNESCO world heritage zone and major tourism region. Numerous prehistoric and medieval historic sights close by as well as traditional culinary delights and children-friendly attractions. Great for multi-generational and pet-friendly holidays.
Laudinie is centrally situated amidst innumerable prehistoric and medieval attractions and outdoor activities for all ages. Daily traditional street markets with regional delicacies in romantic medieval towns close by, a highlight for all gourmet lovers! Wine tasting and discovery of famous wine regions Bergerac, Bordeaux, Monbazillac, Cahors. The region is best known for its rich heritage of up to 17,000 years old polychrome prehistoric cave paintings (Lascaux / Font de Gaume / Grotte de Rouffignac), as well as it's impressive castles (Chateau Castlenaud / Beynac / Marqueyssac / Milandes) which can all be visited and provide fascinating insights into the french/english Hundred Years War and medieval architecture. The Dordogne is an ideal multi-generational holiday region. Children's hearts beat faster as the world of dinosaurs and stone age man is approached in creative and interactive ways (Prehisto Park / Roc de Cazelle / Parc du Bournat) and the stalactite and stalagmite caves make for a great rainy day out (Grotte Grand Roc / Gouffre de Proumeyssac / Gouffre Padirac). 7 golf courses, canoeing and an extensive hiking trail network provide lovely nature experiences.
