A welcoming comfortable Maison de Maître tastefully renovated keeping the French style mixed with a touch of modern. The house sits on 4 acres within the French countryside north of Bordeaux surrounded by Cognac vines and sunflowers. We have four large bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms one of which has a roll top bath. There is plenty of space inside and out, including a pool, where you can enjoy your holiday and just relax.
We have loved renovating this house so that it easily accommodates our large family or groups of people that just love holidaying together. One way or another, we have been in hospitalility for many years; Andy is a professional Chef, and is happy to cook for any of our guests. During the summer we, along with Alfie our cat, stay in a renovated apartment within the 4 acres, being on hand if you need us.
You will find yourself in the countryside with views of vines and see workers in the distance tending to the vines. We live next to a farm, and apart from the birds singing, you will hear farm yard noises from time to time. We are no distance away from everything, the estuary, and its pretty ports and beaches and the bigger towns such as Bordeaux, Saintes, Royan, La Rochelle and Jonzac. The nearest baker and butchers is 6km away, so you will need a car.
