Les Remparts de Riquewihr (Ramparts of Riquewihr) is a small family business founded and run by a couple of tourism professionals - Martine and Jean-Paul Krebs - having many years of experience in airline business and travels. Martine et Jean-Paul think that - especially for a rather long stay (most of our guests are discovering the slow travel concept and are staying 5 nights and more) - it is not enough to sleep well during the night but it is necessary to enjoy the stay in a place which is somehow of the same level as the historical surroundings, the landscape, the mountain and the vineyards: beautiful. We put a lot of effort and care in the renovation and decoration of our vacation rental apartments because we want our holiday homes to be a memorable part of your travel experience to Alsace and France.

At the Remparts de Riquewihr, we offer 9 exceptional gites, from a small studio to larger luxury apartments. Charming and luxury gites of the Rempart of the Year 1291 They form a set of 6 exceptional lodgings around a small garden: 4 of them are located in an old Renaissance house built in the year 1580 on the first rampart of Riquewihr erected in 1291. The property faces the famous Schoenenbourg vineyard which overlooks the village; 2 other apartments complete the series in an adjacent house dating from the 17th century. All these lodgings have been designed to meet the new 5-star standards for the furnished tourist apartments category. A small garden with a medieval design gives an exquisite touch of refinement to this original ensemble. The lodgings of the Rempart of the Year 1500 A set of 3 romantic, elegant and comfortable lodgings, decorated in the purest Alsatian tradition. These exceptional lodgings are located on the second belt of ramparts of Riquewihr, completed in the year 1500. The walls on the west side of our gîtes are made of the rampart itself. The facades on the east side have the appearance of typical Alsatian half-timbered houses. They are quietly located.

Alsace is a picturesque region which, thanks to its wine, gastronomy and other attractions, is definitely worth the trip. Riquewihr, in the heart of the vineyard still presents today the face that was its 500 years ago. It is also a practical place to stay to get around and discover all of Alsace, but also nearby Germany and Switzerland.
