Barnstead is a detached barn conversion in the village of Pooley Bridge in Cumbria. This cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms which are made up of a double and a twin as well as a separate bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with open fire. To the outside is off road parking for one car and a patio with furniture. Set in a stunning location, Barnstead is a great place to enjoy at any time of the year. Please note - Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms.

Neighbourhood information

The picturesque village of Pooley Bridge sits on the northerly edge of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District National Park. The name Pooley came to be due to the forming of a large pool, which was left by the fast flowing River Eamont, and the word Bridge was later added when a bridge, which is now 250 years old, was built over the river. Pooley Bridge has many traditional inns and tempting tea rooms, plus the Ullswater Steamers depart from the village, from where a tranquil cruise down the lake to the villages of Glenridding and Howtown can be enjoyed.
