This property is located within the firing range managed by the Ministry of Defense at Pendine and is accessed via a security gate between Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm. Outside of these hours there is no security on the gate and you are free to access the beach at a Ginst Point or walk on the roads nearby, which is lovely and quiet and perfect for an evening's walk. The cottage is walking distance to Ginst Point. It is a little known beach near Laugharne and it is a popular place for cockling. Tides can be strong there so it’s no good for swimming but great for kids to have a run on the huge beach at low tide. There are no lifeguards and no public toilets. The town of Laugharne on the estuary of the Taf River and offers stunning estuary walks, including the infamous Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk. There are also plenty of woodland walks and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path starts nearby. There are also a good choice of outdoor activities available in the area, ranging from horse riding, coasteering, to a variety of water sports, abseiling, orienteering, caving and gorge walking. There are many beautiful rugged beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, along with the more popular coastal resorts of Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby. There is an abundance of interesting attractions locally, including Castles, historic houses and National Botanical Gardens to name a few. For the younger generation we are a short drive away from the likes of Folly Farm, Oakwood, Wild Lakes, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Dinosaur Park to name a few.
