About this property
This traditional 17th-century Cumbrian inn is set in the Eden Valley, between the old market towns of Appleby and Penrith. It has a cosy bar with a log fire, and has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Each room at Black Swan has a carpeted floor and wooden furnishings. Rooms all come with a flat-screen digital TV, and facilities for making tea and coffee. You can enjoy fine wines and local ales in the bar, and hearty meals in the restaurant. Food is locally sourced, and for breakfast there is a full cooked breakfast with speciality Cumbrian sausages. The Black Swan owns fishing rights on a 4.5 mile stretch of the picturesque River Eden, famous for trout and salmon fishing. Guests at the Black Swan can request a pass to enjoy free fishing onsite.
