The comfortable well appointed lounge is light and airy with views out over the town centre. Your kitchen is small but beautiful and has everything you need, including a retro style coffee maker. You won't fail to enjoy the fabulous bathroom with extremely spacious walk in shower, a romantic Victorian style slipper bath and variable luxury lighting to suit your mood. To complete your seaside experience we've installed an inspiring seashore backdrop viewed through genuine 1930s Ocean Liner Windows!! Your apartment is actually situated in a row of large Victorian villas overlooking the harbour constructed for the Captains of Brixham's famous red sailed fishing trawlers. Captains actually lived here! In the valley directly below is a terrace of smaller houses made for the crews and their families! The property enjoys a wonderful position literally two minutes walk from the quaint town centre of Brixham. Another five or six minutes stroll and you'll be standing at the historic chocolate box pretty harbourside with its many restaurants, eateries, cocktail bars, and of course the fresh fish and chip shops Brixham is renowned for. From Captain's Nook you'll enjoy views across the town centre & and views to the harbour. The inclusion of your own Private Parking Space is an absolute godsend in Brixham where parking is always a nightmare. Captain's Nook comes complete with your own parking space. We have lived in beautiful Brixham for 25 years now , and we are a 5 minute walk away if needed although there is a self check in procedure which gives flexibility on arrival times. Captain's Nook is located within 2 minutes walk to the town & the harbour only another 6 minutes walk. There is a beautiful pub called "the Birdcage" 2 minutes walk from the apartment & right opposite you can find Brixham Museum. Just around the corner at the bottom of the road is "The Vigilance" the local Weatherspoons pub. In less than 10 minutes you have reached Brixhams pretty historic harbourside with many eclectic restaurants & cocktail bars or take a 10 minute walk to Breakwater Beach & Cafe, lovely to experience while taking in the sea air. Children (and adults!) can go crabbing too :) If you take a left at the harbour you can walk to Oxen Cove, where often you will see the seals popping up & down, & further on from there you can reach Fischcombe Cove, a delightful little beach tucked away. Don’t miss the opportunity to walk up the gangplank onto Drakes Golden Hind- a full size Pirate Ship in the centre of the harbour! Perfect for Brixhams world famous Pirate Week! or treat yourself to freshly caught fish direct from Brixhams Fish Market, or sometimes sold straight off the boat! If you feel like chilling out or kicking back try a Cocktail in Liberty’s-or The Mermaid, highly recommended! No visit to Brixham is complete without delicious portion of its famous Fish & Chips, you’ll be spoilt for choice there are so many including Simply Fish & the renowned Rockfish. For a superb Breakfast or Lunch try the "Curious Kitchen " exceptional local fare served in a wonderfully chilled atmosphere. Or sit out right by the harbour and enjoy breakfast there at one of the fantastic eateries. For exceptional coffee try "The Bay Coffee Company" The iconic Berry Head Country Park & Sandy beaches are a little further on.
