Carpenter’s Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage for two in the heart of historic Pocklington, a pretty Yorkshire Wolds market town. It is a short stroll from a number of great cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. There is a market on Tuesdays, two local supermarkets, a 7 day convenience store and two local butchers selling produce directly from the surrounding farms. It is the perfect base to visit the nearby historic city of York, either by bus, car, or park and ride. Pocklington has its own Arts Centre showing films, plays and hosting some of the country's top comedians. Burnby Hall Gardens with its world famous waterlily collection is a short stroll from your door. For walkers and cyclists, the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds are right there to explore, and the stunning Yorkshire Coast is only a short drive away. In the Summer you might like to unwind in our large, sunny garden, or go and have a chat with our very friendly free range hens. If the weather turns colder then the underfloor heating and log burner keeps the cottage cosy and warm.
