Alongside the ancient bridge which crosses the River Camel, located centrally between Bodmin and Wadebridge, you will find Chapel Annex, forming part of this stunning former 12th Century Chapel, previously featured in the ’25 Most Beautiful Homes’ magazine There is parking on-site as well as a private gate that leads to the Camel Trail which is perfect for cyclists and walking enthusiasts.

Neighbourhood information

Superbly located to enable you to explore the rugged north Cornwall coast, this rustic, white walled cottage is the perfect base. A popular local pub is just a five minute walk away and is also where the The Camel Trail starts. For any cycling enthusiasts or walkers this is perfect for exploring some beautiful scenery and wildlife. Depending on how energetic you are feeling, you can follow the trail to Wadebridge which is the next town and has an abundance of shops, eateries and watering holes. Along the way you can even go via The Camel Valley Vineyard where some of the best wines can be sampled. From Wadebridge, if you have any energy left, you can continue along the trail until you reach the vibrant north Cornwall fishing port of Padstow. If you are looking for some local Cornish history, the newly renovated Bodmin Jail is a great place to start. The jail was built in 1779 and, after years of sitting derelict, it has recently been transformed into a luxurious hotel with a museum, restaurant and champagne bar all waiting to be enjoyed. For beaches, you are spoilt for choice as Bodmin is located in between the north and south coasts. Surfing on the north coast is always popular or you can visit the south coast and discover the charming fishing port of Looe and the China Clay Port of Fowey. The Eden project is also on the south coast and well worth a visit.
