Hi! We are delighted to welcome you to our page. Our lovely Grade 2 listed cottage is split into 2 self contained apartments, both with their own private entrance. We are a well travelled family of 4 that love outdoor activities. Our 2 young children love spending time in the Lake District paddle boarding and swimming in the numerous tarns and lakes around us. Happy to help at any time, house keeper for the apartment keeps in contact if needed.

Fabulous 2 bed ground floor apartment in the heart of the Lake District, 2 mins walk from the local pub. Original oak beams and listed spice cupboard from the 17th century. Some of our walls are almost one metre thick! The Old Post Office is a Grade 2 listed property located in Troutbeck Bridge, perfectly located between Windermere and Ambleside. Just a 20 minute stroll takes you right into the heart of Windermere. Breath-taking walks from the doorstep and completely family friendly. You really are staying in a piece of Lakeland history! A real home from home with smart tv, toys, games, books and much more.

Neighbourhood information

Situated in the charming village of Troutbeck Bridge just outside Windermere. Pub and small shop a stones throw away. Private parking for 2 cars included Car advised to see all the wonderful parts of the Lake District although the bus stop is a stones throw from the cottage/apartment.
