Company information

Eastside Farm is a working, organic hill sheep farm in the Pentland Hills Regional Park. The hills surrounding the accommodation are still farmed by the Cowan family - as they have been for five generations. We'll provide detailed instructions on how to find the Steading Cottage - and most of the time we will be there to show you into your cottage. We live across the farmyard and are on hand if you need us, but otherwise we'll not disturb your stay.

The Steading Cottage is hidden in a peaceful glen of the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. Surrounded by open countryside & spectacular views, The Steading is perfect for unwinding. Explore the stunning Scottish hillside landscapes & nearby Edinburgh - or just curl up by a roaring log fire. Enjoy our wood-fired steam sauna yurt and spring water plunge pool - a truly magical experience! The sauna will be available to book upon your arrival for an additional fee.

Neighbourhood information

The Steading Cottage, located on an organic working hill farm within the Pentland Hills Regional Park, is a lovingly converted 18th-century traditional Scottish farm building. Surrounded by miles of hills and open green space, it is an ideal base for walking or mountain biking. Edinburgh is just a short 20-minute drive away. Free parking, equipped with an EV charger, is available just a 30-second walk from the accommodation. Please note that the accommodation is accessed via a one-mile farm track off the main road, so we highly recommend using a car for your stay.
