A beautiful, newly renovated cottage set in the heart of the historic cobbles of Haworth Main Street. Just a few steps away from excellent shops, restaurants and pubs. Or dine alfresco in your own little private garden with stunning views of the hills. The moors with its breath taking walks to Top Withins and Brontë waterfalls are within walking distance. If you are a literary buff you can visit the Brontë museum at the top of the hill!! Or try a trip on the famous steam train! A magical place which we are excited for you to explore! Plus we are one of the few holiday lets to offer free parking opposite the property!
I’m married with two children and when I’m not volunteering up at school I’m in my studio making pottery on my wheel! I love hosting and like to make sure every guest leaves feeling delighted with their stay and happy to recommend us to others. On arrival I like to provide our own brand of fresh Holmes Cottage coffee along with other treats and beverages. I also make sure the wood burner is ready to be lit so guests can get cosy straight away or even light the fire just before arrival if preferred.
Haworth is a truly amazing place. The cobbled Main Street is filled with fantastic places to eat, great pubs and wonderful shops to browse. It is of course steeped in history being the home of the famous Brontë sisters. The Brontë museum is just a 5 minute walk from the holiday cottage which is just off Main Street. There is also the famous steam train which featured in the film The Railway Children and is great fun to ride on. They have seasonal events such as the Santa special, a gin tasting experience and the Haworth Haddock, where you can dine on local fish and chips while travelling through the worth valley. There are of course the beautiful moors and famous walks to the Brontë waterfalls and Top Withins, the book which Wuthering Heights is thought to be about! Whatever time of year you come to Haworth you will find a hive of activity! Christmas is especially magical with torchlit processions and carolling up the Main Street. You’ll be surrounded by twinkling Christmas tree lights and the smell of mulled wine. In the summer there are wonderful artisan markets at the local park which is just at the bottom of the hill. A trip to Haworth is one not to be missed out on!
