Just five minutes from Sherwood Forest, the world-famous Major Oak and Sherwood Pines, it’s the perfect getaway for couples, families, and dog lovers. The village also features Nottinghamshire’s only working watermill, plus lovely restaurants and pubs to enjoy during your stay. The cottage sleeps up to 5 guests and has been tastefully renovated to offer a warm, modern space with homely touches throughout. Enjoy an electric log burner for cosy evenings and a secure garden with lockbox access to the back door. Parking: One private space is available at the back of the house via a narrow driveway. It can be tight for larger vehicles, so please take care when parking. Free on-street parking is also available nearby. Neighbourhood information

Ollerton Village is a conservation area on River Maun and offers many amenities, such as a variety of pubs, restaurants, and picturesque walks. We are just a mile from Rufford Abbey Country Park an ideal family day out with walks through the picturesque grounds, places to relax and eat and numerous activities such as archery, boating lake, adventure golf, adventure play area to name but a few. Sherwood Pines, with Segways, mountain biking hire and mountain biking trails, GoApe and cafe is 3 miles away. Clumber Park is approximately 6 miles covering 3,800 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens, peaceful woodlands and an 83 acre serpentine lake. And of course, the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest is just a couple of miles up the road in Edwinstowe where you will also find a craft centre and a variety of village shops and restaurants. Southwell is a beautiful town with its magnificent Minster and the Old Workhouse, 12 miles away. You can get to Nottingham and Lincoln in 45 minutes, and to the Peak District within an hour by car, with its historical houses such as Chatsworth House, Matlock with the Heights of Abraham Cable Car or Bakewell where you can sample the Bakewell Pudding.
