Charlbury’s rural charm draws you in as you wander the meandering streets discovering beautiful pubs and historic stone cottages. There is a welcoming atmosphere as walkers say hello and cafes invite you to sit a while at their al fresco dining areas. Just outside the bustling heart is Inglenook Cottage, named after the impressive fire surround in the living room. Exposed wooden beams, a curving staircase and exposed walls of Cotswold stone add warmth and comfort to this tempting hideaway. Two delightful bedrooms are in the main cottage while a third is tucked away in the annexe, perfect for anybody who wants a little more space or those who struggle with stairs. With so much to see and do in Charlbury and beyond, Inglenook Cottage is a true Cotswold retreat. Book with us to get exclusive discounts to top attractions and experiences. 1 well-behaved dog/s are welcome for an additional fee of 40 GBP per dog. This fee is not included in the rental price. Please advise us at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog/s and you will be sent a request for the additional fee. A BBQ is not provided at Inglenook Cottage The stairs in the cottage are narrow and steep with a turn and there is no handrail. There is an external annexe with a bedroom and bathroom which is on the ground floor. There is a very small open pond in the garden and a drop from the lawned area, ensure small children and pets are supervised. Please note a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This is fully refundable up to 60 days of arrival when your remaining balance payment is due.

Charlbury is a small but vibrant and thriving Oxfordshire market town, that has escaped the hordes of Cotswold tourists, making it a delightful place to discover. It benefits from a direct train line to London, which takes an hour whilst Oxford is twenty minutes. The town is filled with historic buildings, independent shops, great pubs, and there are walks in all directions including the Charlbury Circular Route, the Oxfordshire Way, and the Cotswold Way. There’s also an active cricket club and a recreation ground with tennis courts and football pitches, and the town is home to the Riverside Festival and famous Wilderness music festival in the grounds of Cornbury Park. The renowned Longborough Festival Opera is only a 30-minute drive.
