Neighbourhood information

Top Farm is perfectly located, just 20 minutes from both the North Norfolk Coast and The Broads National Park, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Situated in the picturesque village of Marsham, a place with a rich history dating back to the Bronze Age. Top Farm is surrounded by rolling hills, lush green fields, and beautiful woodlands, making it a haven for walkers and cyclists alike. There are several charming pubs within a short drive, including The Feathers, The Plough Inn (right in Marsham), The Porters Arms Taphouse, and The Buck Arms in nearby Blickling. And just 20 minutes away, you’ll find the unforgettable Gunton Arms, a truly unique and memorable dining experience that’s well worth the trip. Visit Aylsham, a traditional unspoilt market town. Famous for linen and textiles in the 1300s, the market place, surrounded by 18th century houses, reflects the town’s prosperity from the era's cloth trade, before it went on to become a major wool and textile producing area. Today, the picturesque market place holds markets on Mondays and Fridays, and there are plenty of shops, pubs and tea-rooms. Aylsham is the northern terminus of the Bure Valley Railway, a narrow-gauge steam railway which takes you through the countryside to Wroxham. For those who love the outdoors, Aylsham station marks the start of the Bure Valley Walk, a walking and cycling path that runs alongside the railway. The Weavers Way trail also begins here, leading to North Walsham along a disused railway line, perfect for walking, cycling, or horse riding. Famously a gateway to the Norfolk Broads, here you can hire boats. The annual Aylsham Country Show is held every August bank holiday. National Trust Blickling Estate, a sensational Jacobaean house with wonderful landscaped gardens, was home to the Boleyn family from 1499 to1505. It is believed that Anne Boleyn’s ghost still roams the hall! The countryside surrounding the house is perfect for picnicking and...
