Het was zeer aangenaam binnenkomen in het huis. Er stond een grote mand met fruit, hapjes, ontbijtgranen, wijn, enz. zelfs in de ijskast stond melk, boter, kaas klaar. We voelden ons direct welkom.

Stunning Cotswold barn conversion in quiet village location. Sleeps 6, 3 double rooms - all with luxury ensuite bathrooms. (Super-king bed can be divided into two singles on request) Fabulous open plan kitchen/dining/living room, additional comfortable sitting room, laundry room, pretty south facing courtyard garden with outdoor table and chairs. Parking on property for two cars and additional street parking close by. Perfect location for exploring the South Cotswolds - less busy than the north but just as charming! Lacock Abbey and village are very often used as a film set for period dramas and films including Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey. Castle Combe is known as "the prettiest village in England" and also can be recognised from the many films that have been set there including War Horse and the original Doctor Doolittle. Also convenient for exploring the Stroud Valleys and the Marlborough downs and the ancient stones at Avebury and the stones further afield at Stonehenge Easy access to Bath, Bristol, Cirencester, Tetbury and Malmesbury. Very close to King Charles private residence at Highgrove (garden tours available by advance booking) and to the Westonbirt National Arboretum. Pleasant drive to the north Cotswolds towns of Moreton-in-the-Marsh, Bibury, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway and the Slaughters. If you want to do less driving then regular trains from either Kemble or Chippenham take you direct to London, and from Chippenham to Bath and Bristol. Sherston village is charming and full of character and History. The village pub, The Rattlebone, is always popular and there is an Indian restaurant and takeaway, The Bridge, The Courtyard Cafe is around the corner and there is an additional additional cafe/bistro, The Swan. The village shop is extremely well stocked as is the village wine shop! Several supermarkets are with a short driving distance.
Hi. I'm Laura and although I'm originally from Scotland I have lived in England for many years. My husband, Struan, has always lived in here in Wiltshire. We have grown up children who have flown the nest (most of the time!). We enjoy the countryside and between us do a lot of walking, sailing, canoeing, travelling . We have run our main home as a B&B for over ten years now and have been welcoming guests to Little Maunditts Cottage for about 8 years. Over the years we have loved meeting lots of interesting people of all ages and nationalities and we always endeavour to make sure all our guests have a happy and memorable time with us. We are always happy to provide additional local information and recommendations and Little Maunditts Cottage has a wide selection of maps and local guide books for you to use during your stay.
Sherston is a charming and pretty historic south Cotswold village which is delightfully free of the tourist crowds. It has easy access to Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Malmesbury and all the beautiful scenery that the South Cotwolds have to offer. The village has a well-stocked shop and several eateries including the renowned Rattlebone Pub. Sherston is only a few miles from Westonbirt, the national arboretum, and King Charles's delightful gardens at his home at nearby Highgrove House.
