North View Cottage is located on the border of Cumbria and Northumberland, right next to the site of Hadrian's Wall . It is a detached property, with it's own parking area to front and outside seating to the back to enjoy the colourful sunsets. It is an ideal property for two adults using a king size double bed If requested, the king size bed can be split into two singles. Amenities available... Fully working kitchen, includes hob, oven, microwave, extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer; open lounge and dining area with sofa, tv, wifi, usb plug sockets and heating Double king size bed or two singles , wardrobe and usb plug sockets, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, hangers Bathroom with shower Take away delivery is also available at the property

We have 3 properties in the area and have been hosts for 3 years.

Set in the village of Gilsland, there are many amenities to hand within a 5 min walk - the local cafe which specialises in handmade cakes and sandwiches as well as providing basic shopping essentials like milk, bread, toiletries, a local pub and a part time post office. There are 2 local pubs within a short walk, one of which serves food. You can also walk a couple of minutes down to the Hadrian's Wall milecastle ruins and look out over the waterfall. Further afield there are many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. Not to mention the various sites of interest, including Hadrian's Wall and the roman forts/castles. There is an outdoor swimming pool leisure centre in nearby village along with private indoor swimming pool facilities which are charged by the hour (must be booked in advanced).
