The village is lovely, people very friendly, lots of country walks… We enjoyed a lovely stay & the cottages were only 10 minutes away from a family wedding venue. Our family stayed in three lovely properties in the village, Papist Hall Cottages...

The newly renovated cottages offer a delightful mix of period features and modern amenities finished to a high standard. The enclosed gardens feature numerous relaxing seating areas, impressive stonework arches and planters, BBQ and a delightful range of planting featuring mature trees and vibrant flowers. The beautiful small village of Barrow upon Humber has range of shops and amenities as well as pubs serving food all within walking distance. Barrow upon Humber’s most famous son is John Harrison, inventor of the marine chronometer which allowed sailors to calculate longitude at sea, greatly improving safety at sea and saving many lives.
