Property information

This Victorian property is Grade II Listed and situated a mere 150 metres from the stunning Swanage beachfront, in the heart of the town centre, and a short distance from the main shopping thoroughfare. The cosy ground floor welcomes you into this cottage with flagstone floors, an extensive open plan living-dining area, and kitchen. The lounge has a trendy feel, with three-seat sofa, two armchairs, and smart TV. The dining area has a table & chairs that seats six. The whole cottage is decorated beautifully in pastel colours, artistic pieces, soft furnishings, and sleek lighting. The kitchen has white finished cabinets and a terracotta tile floor, and includes everything you’ll need for an enjoyable stay, including range oven, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. Also downstairs off the kitchen is a handy WC room. The upper floors have 4 bedrooms, and modern family bathroom. One large master, a twin single, a single, and an attic room double (via spiral staircase). Outside is a gorgeous stone walled garden with dining area for 6. Please note: this property has two internal staircases, one of which is a steep spiral staircase to the loft bedroom.

The quintessentially British seaside town of Swanage is a delight, with its sandy beach being one of Dorset County’s biggest attractions. The beach is a popular destination for generations of families returning every year, and for good reason. There's clean "Blue Flag" awarded waters, a Victorian promenade, amazing facilities for hire (including deck chairs, pedaloes, kayaks, sun beds, and even beach huts) in addition to practical amenities such as lifeguard patrols, showers and toilets — making this beach almost unbeatable. Swanage Town is full of local charm and attractive architecture, and makes a wonderful base to explore Dorset’s other natural wonders and places of interest too. There’s a host of high street gift shops, clothing stores, grocery shops, cafés, ice cream parlours, and fish & chip takeaways — all of which are in addition to an array of pubs, bars and restaurants, accessible on foot from the cottage. There’s always lots to do in the water, with paddleboarding, diving excursions, sailing, water-skiing, and windsurfing to name a few. Whilst on the promenade you can find amusements, arcades, mini golf and other fun activities for little ones.
