Neighbourhood information

The village of Gosforth hosts many pubs, a cafe, a village store, a church, an outdoor activity shop and a bakery. Gosforth is the neighbouring village to Wasdale which is home to Scafell Pike (the tallest mountain in England), Wastwater- the deepest lake in England and the smallest church. There is plenty to do and explore in the surrounding areas. The coastal village of Seascale is only a 5 minute drive from the property, where there is an amazing beach with an Ice-cream shop and fish and chip shop coming soon. Seascale is also the nearest train station. Ravenglass is also close by where you will find the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, plenty of pubs and eateries on the beautiful estuary, another Ice-cream shop and Muncaster Castle. The cottage itself is neighbours to a local pub (Gosforth Hall) with a great beer garden and well reviewed food and beverages. Pets are welcome to enjoy the family holiday with you!
