Lovely rural location. Spacious well-equipped cottage and hot tub was a fantastic bonus. Comfortable beds and furniture. Appreciated the milk and biscuits, thank you! We enjoyed watching the sheep and cows and the sheepdog at work.

Satchells Cottage with hot tub is a delightful four bedroom cottage that sleeps 6 located on a traditional working farm near the historical border towns of Melrose, Selkirk and Hawick the heart of Scotland’s heritage and textile region.
We are a friendly family living on a working farm in the heart of the beautiful Scottish countryside. Set on 400 acres with 120 cows and 500 sheep, our home offers a true taste of rural life. Having lived here for the past two years, we love watching the wildlife – from deer and hares to oyster catchers – and enjoying the peace and quiet of the farm. The surrounding area is rich in history, with castles, abbeys, and fascinating stories dating back to the time of Mary, Queen of Scots. Every season brings something new, from vibrant colours across the landscape to star-filled skies at night. With breath taking views of the Eildon Hills and beyond, it’s a place where guests can relax, unwind, and experience the charm of the Scottish Borders.
Satchells Cottage is located near historical border towns of Melrose, Selkirk and Hawick the heart of Scotland’s heritage and textile region. Heading south to Hawick enjoy the high street with its quaint coffee shops, bakery, traditional pubs, independent retail shops many selling the towns colourful tweed garments, boutiques, and historical attractions that include The Borders Textile Towerhouse – Museum, a Whisky Distillery and the amazing River Teviot and all within a ten minute walk from the town centre, it is a most for tourists. North is the small historial town of Selkirk with Sir Walter Scott's Courtroom, Bowhill House and Gardens and Halliwells House and Museum, there is also plenty of attractions. Visit Melrose the home of Scottish Rugby, the annual Ram Sales and Abbey that dates back to 1136, this picturesque mediaeval town sits on the River Tweed below the Eildon Hills. Or the historic border town of Jedburgh with it's castles, Abbey and Mary Queen of Scots house, also the seat of the Kerr Clan.
