Large, detached, 1930s self contained, non estate house with a spacious private drive and secure south facing garden in an award winning village location. The house sits at the bottom of the WestburyWhiteHorse hill. Centrally located to many World Heritage sites, including Stonehenge, Avebury & Roman Baths. Longleat Safari (& the AquaSana Spa!) is only 6 miles away. Salisbury Cathedral, 40mins, BathSpa with Abbey/shops is a 30min drive & London is an 1hr by train. For those in or working with the defence industry it's an ideal base on the edge of SPTA. It offers contractors 3 separate showers, plus a separate bathroom & a large private secure drive with security cameras. The house / drive is not shared with anyone. The house comfortably fits 8 but can sleep up to 10 using the small double and single sofa beds by prior arrangement and extra charge. It has plenty of space with 4 good size double/ king bedrooms upstairs and an additional ground floor room which contains a cosy double sofa bed. There are also 4 separate wash areas; 1 shower room with toilet and basin ground floor level. A luxurious 'national trust' en suite (installed winter 2023) with a brushed brass shower, toilet and stone basin attached to the king bedroom. 1 shower and basin in the twin bedroom and in addition a spacious bathroom containing a bath, third toilet and basin. There is free private secure parking on the drive, ample for 5 -6 cars.
I am at the end of the phone should guests wish to contact me for any reason. I am always happy and around to answer any queries on the house or local area before and during the stay. I am never too far away and will also (for the most part) be around to attend to things personally at the house if required. We hope all guests are happy and comfortable in our home and do what we can to facilitate this.
Situated at the foot of the Westbury white horse, Bratton is a popular countryside village with all the usual amenities you would expect on your doorstep including a lovely local pub 'The Duke' which is in walking distance from the house. It is also centrally located and just a short drive away from many bigger towns like Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Devizes and Warminster.
