We have been entertaining gests here at Redhill Grange for many years from all corners of the globe on a B&B basis then the pandemic struck. Not wishing to give up we wanted to create an independent accommodation to give guests and ourselves a safe enviroment so we created The Bees Knees. Still having the benifit of being part of our 300 year old barn yet with all the modern conveniences and segregation. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside and gardens with the wye Valley in the distance yet only a few minutes drive from the town centre. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy living here.
Being avid world travelers we love to enjoy the company of people and enjoy the different cultures and various nationalities .After retiring from a long nursing career Catherine took up Bee Keeping and enjoys maintaining the beautiful garden she created whilst Martin does the general maintenance of the barn and outbuildings.
If you enjoy walking there are many beautiful areas to explore such as the Offas Dyke path,The wye valley path and the river wye path towards either symonds Yat or Redbrook. Castles in abundance all round the area such as Monmouth, Raglan, whitecastle to mention but a few. Canoeing on the wye is great fun and a canoe can be rented from monmouth conoe centre by the hour or day. Take a picnic and enjoy the river with its abundant wildlife. There are many good cycling routes in the area with dedicated paths at the cycle centre in the nearby Royal Forest of Dean. Food ...well take your pick Italian,Indian,Mexican and more with Michelin Star fine dining at the Walnit Tree if you prefer. Monmouth is full of history being the birthplace of king Henry V has its own museum. The only remaining fortified river bridge left in Great Britain is to be found here in Monmouth. If Golf is your fancy then there is the famous Rolls golf course named after the Rolls Royce family whos home was here at the Hendre. A statue to the famous aviator Sir Charles Rolls lies in front of the Shire Hall in Agincourt Square which too is famous for its Assize courts and now houses the tourist centre. So much more.
