The Cottage is within the grounds of Grotton Hall and was fully refurbished in the last few years to provide beautiful, fully self contained accommodation with a lounge, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The lounge and both bedrooms have flat screen TV's. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, cooker, washing machine and fridge freezer. There is ample secure car parking outside the cottage and place to store bikes etc.
Grade 1 listed Grotton Hall dates back to the 16th Century and is a former Monastery. The current owners have lived at Grotton Hall for 50 years and personally manage the letting of The Cottage along with their family who will be here to welcome you and are on hand 24 hours just in case you have any queries or questions about The Cottage or the local area.
Grotton Hall Cottage is in the heart of Saddleworth and there are lots of great pubs, restaurants, bars, cafes and boutique shops within a few miles. The White Hart Inn and wedding venue is literally a few minutes walk away. Uppermill village is 2.5 miles away and easily accessible from the Cottage by car, bike or on foot. The local area is renowned for its beautiful scenery and is a great place for cycling, walking and relaxing. The nearest train station (Greenfield) is just 1.5 miles away and from here Manchester is just 25 minutes away and Leeds just 40 minutes away. There is a bus stop a few hundred yards from The Cottage and taxis are readily available.
