Hello, I am Teresa. My partner Tony and I are the owners of this beautiful 19th Century Guest House and Freehouse. Tony is originally from Cork in Ireland and has worked within the hospitality industry for over 40years. I have over 30years experience in hospitality where I started managing in residential homes. This has been a dream of ours for some time to own our own Bar and Guest house. We have so many plans to extend our services by offering and Sunday roasts, we also offer afternoon cream teas, all our food is fresh home cooked by myself and my daughter Kayleigh. Both myself and Tony enjoy socialising and meeting new people.

Property information

Here at our guest house we offer Bed & Bathoom. The owners live within the property should you need any assistance during your stay. We are a family owned business. Our rooms are cleaned to a very high standard for our guests to enjoy. Check out will be at 10am. Tea and coffee facilities available. We provide free wifi connection there is a tv in each room, hairdryer and USB sockets. Check in available from 3pm-9pm access via door located at the side of the property (Freehold Road) Free parking available at the rear of Guest house. Comfortable accommodation comprising of Twin, Double & Family rooms. We offer a pet friendly bar only, no pets allowed within the guest bedrooms. There is a microwave, fridge and a toaster in the dining room for all our guests to use . We do NOT operate a 24 hour reception desk. Our bar and family room opening times: Mon-thurs 3pm-10.30pm, Friday-Sat 12pm-11.30pm, Sun 12pm- 10pm. Opening times may vary during bank holidays. We will have live music from time to time and we offer a function room for special occasions. Our bar also is provided with BT sports. Our guests are more than welcome to join us in the bar area. Children will only be allowed in the bar until 7pm. We are within walking distance to the Ipswich hospital, and the buses run to the town centre and to and from the hospital. We offer a home cooked Sunday roast bookings only, and can provide afternoon cream teas bookings only. We have a large family lounge where we can hold events, booking will be required.

Neighbourhood information

We are a 5 minute drive away from the ipswich town centre. The waterfront, theatres and Christchurch park are among some of the many things to do within the town. Local convenience stores within walking distance. Ipswich football stadium is close by and the train station is also close to the town centre. We are very close to the Ipswich hospital its within walking distance or a short walk to the bus stop which stops outside of the hospital.

This is a small family run Guest house that has a check in time from 16:00 to 19:00, reception is manned during these times. Check in after 19:00 is possible when payment has been taken and the guest has made contact and the property will provide a code to get in to the building.

Please also note that the property only sell a self service breakfast at GBP 6.00 per person and it needs to be booked before or on arrival.

Please note the property is non-smoking. A GBP 50 fine is applicable to guests who smoke on the premises.
