PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE READ ALL THE INFORMATION PRIOR TO BOOKING Lovely holiday cottage just outside the quite village of Little Carlton. We are located between Louth and Mablethorpe just on the edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. Downstairs kitchen/lounge with a huge orangery with additional seating. Newly installed (May 25) SKYGLASS TV downstairs, Smart TV upstairs, Board games available and a small work area for laptops etc. (Please bring your own Prime account details). Upstairs there is a very large bedroom and en-suite bathroom. In this bedroom, we also have a single bed with a pull out bed underneath that can accommodate 2 young children (this is not for adults) surcharge per child per night. Pool/Hot Tub Information Guests are welcome to book slots in our private pool and hot tub that adjoins 'The Orangery'. We do not allow 'open access' to ensure you have sole private use during your allocated slots as other people access the pool. You can book your slots when you arrive on site, you can book up to 90 minute sessions throughout the day from 10am to 8pm and book the Hot Tub between 4pm and 8pm. These times can be booked when you arrive with John and can be flexible, subject to availability. Check in between 4pm and 6pm and check out strictly before 10am.
John and Sharon are your hosts. Sharon usually works at home and John is available onsite at all times. We are experienced holiday let hosts and pride ourselves in always having excellent 5* reviews. We moved to this areas three years ago and we have renovated one of our barns as a holiday cottage commencing February 22. We are renovating the main house, other barns and gardens, so you may see John working around the grounds during your stay. However we try not to make a noise whilst we have guests to ensure you have a peaceful stay. We love living in this area and enjoy the quietness and calmness. Its is very peaceful and guests all report to sleeping well and feeling re-energised after their stay. As the holiday let is recently renovated/newly carpeted, we ask that guests do not wear outdoor shoes inside, so slippers may be beneficial. We also do not accept more than 2 adults, so no parties/extra guests/visitors other than those booked. Two small children can stay using the small single bed and trundle underneath in the main bedroom (not extra adults). We leave a detailed information manual for you to read in The Orangery, so you have more details, including places to eat, places to visit and important contact information. The location is suitable for a quiet getaway, great if you like peace and quiet, its not a hustle and bustle area. We are in a very rural area, but do have nearby seaside's such as Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes and Skegness all in easy reach. We are also an ideal spot for visiting events at Cadwell Park. A vehicle would be required to get about as not too near railway stations. Please note NO facility to charge electric cars, and sorry, no portable EV charger must be used.
The Orangery is located on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds directly between Louth and Mablethorpe. There are lovely local seaside's: • Mablethorpe is our nearest coast just 9 miles away • Sutton on sea is about 15 miles away • Skegness is 25 miles away • Cleethorpes is 23 miles away Other places to visit: • Claythorpe Watermill • Donna Nook • Wild Pines Park • The Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary • Rushmoor Country Farm Park and Falconry Centre • Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary • Hubbards Hills Cadwell Park Applebys Ice Cream site As well as being surrounded by beautiful countryside, there are other great areas to visit including a number of lovely market towns: • Louth • Alford • Horncastle, • Market Rasen • Caistor • Spilsby • Lincoln The nearest shop for basics is the Co-op at Grimoldby, which is about 2 miles away. Two local pubs are also about 2 or 3 miles away, which offer lovely food. Louth is about 8 miles away and there are two main supermarkets Aldi and Morrisons. At Mablethorpe there is also Lidl and a Tesco. Tesco will deliver to the property if you wish. Grimsby is a much larger town with many retail parks and larger shops such as Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsburys. Cleethorpes and Lincoln also has larger shops.
